GET THE WORD OUT

I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. … Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt his name together. [Psalm 34:1,3 (NLT)]

O Lord, do I glorify you in the way I behave? Do I acknowledge my faith in the way I speak? Do I reveal your Holy Spirit in the way I interact with others? Would someone recognize you when they see how I conduct myself? Would anyone want to know you when they hear my words? Lord, let my words and actions glorify you today and every day.

I bless God every chance I get; my lungs expand with his praise. … Join me in spreading the news; together let’s get the word out. [Psalm 34:1,3 (MSG)]

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our Salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is the great God, and the great King above all gods. [Psalm 95:1-3 (NKJV)]

Thank you for this moment, this hour, this day, this week, this year, this very life you have given me! Let my heart sing with joy today and every day. Praise God from whom all blessings do, indeed, flow!

TELL GOD WHAT YOU NEED

Don’t worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. [Philippians 4:6 (NLT)]

O Lord, it is so easy to tell you what I want, which often is not what I need. And it is so difficult to thank you for your response when you give me what I need instead of what I want. When you send me challenges, I rarely appreciate them and certainly don’t thank you for them when they arrive. Yet, those challenges are exactly what are necessary for my growth.

Teach me, Lord. Show me how to ask for what I need and give me a thankful heart for what I get.

THANKS FOR ALL

Give thanks in all circumstances. [1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV)]

When life challenges us, it helps to remember that either God sent it or allowed it! Life’s trials aren’t punishment, they are lessons. Each experience can transform us to be wiser, stronger, and more prepared for the next challenge (if we let it). So, we give thanks in all circumstances…even those we don’t particularly enjoy!

THE LORD IS MY HELPER

So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” [Hebrews 13:6 (NLT)]

Thank you, God, for the trials and adversities in our lives. Help us to celebrate them and not cower in the face of them. Let us rejoice in their challenges and in the knowledge that we are not alone. You, Lord, are with us so there is nothing to fear. Our God is greater than all of our problems!

Anything that makes us cry out to God can be counted as a blessing! [Mary Southerland]

ENTER WITH PRAISE

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. [Psalm 100:4 (NLT)]

Praise and thanksgiving can’t alter our circumstances, but they certainly can alter our viewpoint! They will bring us back into the presence of God where there is comfort and joy!
