ENCOURAGEMENT AND GOOD HOPE

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who also loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. [2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 (NLT)]

As this week’s challenges present themselves, I pray that you will remember you have your very own personal cheer-leading squad in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are always there with you, urging you on to victory!

DON’T WORRY; BE HAPPY

Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things [Luke 12:25-26 (NLT)]

Lord, help us give up the false belief that we’re the ones in control of tomorrow and that we’re the only ones who can solve its problems. Remind us of your love and that your ways are infinitely higher and better than ours so that we will truly trust that the future is safely in your loving (and capable) hands.

LET THE SON SHINE

2-2-13 sunflower - Son shineWEBYes, God loved the world so much that He gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life. [John 3:16 (ERV)]

Truly, while we let the Son shine on our lives, a little sun shine on us certainly helps, too! I’m not naive enough to think that a little time outdoors is all we need, but it helps. It’s got a double benefit: it not only works off calories, it also gives us an opportunity to have a chat with God in His beautiful and blessed house!

May you feel the power of God’s love today and may his Son shine in your heart!

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feels that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. [Anne Frank]

YOU ARE WONDERFULLY MADE

I will give thanks to you because I have been so amazingly and miraculously made. Your works are miraculous and my soul is fully aware of this. [Psalm 139:14 (GW)]

Today, look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself what it is you like about yourself. Too often we look into the mirror only to see what we dislike about ourselves. But we are God’s precious gift…and he doesn’t make junk. We are, indeed, amazingly and miraculously made!
