Lord, guide us so that our words bring comfort, not pain, and harmony, not discord. May they build, not destroy, and inspire rather than discourage.
It’s so easy to think, “I can’t.” Always remember that when God gives us a task, He wants us to succeed. Because He wants us to succeed, He gives us all we need to complete that task. May we not only hear your word, O Lord, but comprehend it.
May we not just say your word, but live it.
Let your word turn into works and cause my faith to turn into action!
We’re to do good whenever we have the opportunity, not just whenever it is convenient or when we feel especially benevolent. It doesn’t matter if we like or know the people needing our help or if our actions are advantageous to us or will bring us public admiration. It’s quite simple; do good whenever the opportunity arises!
Lord, make me willing when opportunity knocks!
