Don’t Forget Your Prayers

Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. [Psalm 5:3 (NLT)]

How much time do we spend getting ready in the morning, doing things like showering, fixing our hair, shaving or putting on make-up, choosing our clothes, dressing, eating breakfast, and maybe even exercising? We always seem to have enough time to tend to our physical needs, but how much time do we spend getting ready spiritually for the day? We need to tend to both our outer appearance and our inner thoughts. If we don’t forget our shoes, why is it so easy to forget our prayers?
